British authorities have discovered that medical equipment sent to the country to examine those infected with the Coruna virus, is contaminated with the virus itself.
Last week, British Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced that London had requested 3.5 million antibody test devices from several companies.
According to Sky News Arabia, it was discovered that the main components of the devices, which were ordered from a medical company in Luxembourg, were contaminated with the “Covid 19” virus.
He added that the Luxembourg-based company, “Euro Vines”, the devices, has warned laboratories in the United Kingdom that some parts of the devices have been contaminated.
EuroVins said the problem could be solved by “proper cleaning”, but admitted that it would lead to a significant delay.
The UK is facing increasing pressure to test more people to overcome the Corona virus pandemic.
The British government says it currently has the ability to conduct 11,000 tests per day, while aiming to reach 25,000 tests per day by mid-April.
It has not disclosed whether the British government will keep the shipment of “contaminated” devices, or return them to Luxembourg.
Britain has officially recorded 22,141 new infections, including 1,408 deaths, according to figures released Monday by the health authorities.
