Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announces that professional football players in Spain can return to training starting next week.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez confirmed that professional football players in Spain can return to training starting next week.
The Prime Minister announced a four-stage plan to lift the general isolation measures imposed on the country due to the “Corona” virus, with the aim of returning to normalcy by the end of June.
Players can return to individual exercises starting next Monday and can train together in small groups a week later within the plan.
“Professional athletes can return to training individually from May 4 in the first stage,” Sanchez said on Spanish television.
The Prime Minister of Spain added that the lifting of strict measures will differ from one region to another based on factors such as the rate of development of infection, the number of intensive care beds available and the extent to which the regions comply with the rules of social separation.
In the next stage, which may begin on May 11, training will be permitted in small groups.
